With flexible multi-use layouts and a customizable menu, any occasion from weddings, meetings, or cocktail hours are welcome at Commune NFK. The new CommunexCROP will be a student-led restaurant and nonprofit, housed by Commune and led by CROP, an organization dedicated to building the next generation of innovative, conscious and sustainably-minded young leaders in food, agriculture and hospitality. About Commune Commune is a farmer-owned sustainable restaurant with locations in Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Commune is founded on the philosophy that great tasting food comes from only the most cared-for, high-quality ingredients. The restaurant’s finished product speaks for itself; when food is grown with respect, picked at its peak, served close to its source and prepared with care, the finished plate is a culinary experience that nourishes and satisfies on many levels. The food, paired with a carefully curated list of Virginia wines and local beers in a casual, inviting atmosphere, makes Commune a stop worth making. Learn more at www.communeva.com. About The CROP Foundation The CROP Foundation is devoted to innovative and avid young students who study culinary, agriculture and closely related fields. Our endeavor is to build a sustainable community of young students that are knowledgeable and confident in their career paths and will be lifelong learners of excellence in gastronomy. We are dedicated to helping students further their education by offering scholarships and identifying internships with local and global chefs, farmers, restaurateurs and other members of the culinary community.
